For fly-fishing legend Jack Dennis, the things that bring joy to life are pretty straightforward: his family and the Upper Snake River Headwaters in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Dennis grew up on the river and watched as mismanagement came to threaten the condition of the waters, a threat that rallied him to act. He joined forces with late Senator Craig Thomas, American Rivers, and its partners, to protect more than 400 miles of the Snake River and its tributaries under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. American Rivers produced this short film, Legacy, as a reminder that what we leave behind is what matters most.
