The Outside hallways are stacked with boxes, and our offices are overflowing with gear. But even we can't get our hands on every product. To fill the gaps, we often ask experts about the gear they're using. Other times, we read online reviews.Â
This week we wanted to find the best flannels for men and women. So, we went to Amazon's bestseller list, scanned for the highest-rated flannels, then pulled our favorite reviews, which are listed below. Note: some reviews have been edited for length and clarity.
Legendary Whitetails Men's Buck Camp Flannel ($25)

“I love the colors of this shirt— they're vibrant without being neon. The corduroy around the neck and sleeves adds a little warmth to those areas. It's not short like many modern shirts I buy these days seem to be so there's no bare belly or back when bending over or stretching. Also, it seems to be pretty wrinkly resistant.”
Wrangler Men's Long Sleeve Plaid Fleece ($20)

“This shirt fits me a tad larger than all my other flannels from other brands. Still, it’s very warm, well made, and comfortable. On top of that, I washed it and dried it on high and it barely shrank at all.”
Ochenta Men's Button Down Long Sleeve Flannel ($20)

“I am five-feet-ten-inches tall and weigh 149 pounds. I normally wear a size medium but the size large fits me great without it feeling too big. Definitely, size up. The cotton is real soft the way I like it. The quality of the shirt is very good.”
Match Women's Long Sleeve Flannel ($15)

“I love this shirt! The color is great and the shirt fits loose and comfortably. It is a little too long for my preference, but the sleeves unbutton and unroll all the way down and they're the perfect length.”
Dickies Women's Long-Sleeve Flannel ($20)

“I was surprised by how soft this shirt is. My only complaint is that it runs a little big— the small fits like a medium. For my fellow busty ladies out there, it does have that infamous gap between button at the chest, just fair warning.”
