The 2014 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series kicked off in Cuba on May 10. Nearly 90 feet (27 meters) above the harbor of Old Havana, divers competed for the first trophy of the season. The diving platform was constructed into Morro Castle, which has guarded the entrance to Havana Bay since the 16th century.
In front of 60,000 spectators, former UK Olympic diver Blake Aldridge took home the title in a field of 14 divers.
The Red Bull Cliff Diving tour will come to the U.S. with a stop at Texas's Possum Kingdom Lake from June 6-7. Both male and female divers wll jump from Hell's Gate cliffs into the Brazos River reservoir.
