The Bat Cave is a crag in New Mexico tucked away sixteen miles south of Truth or Consequences. It’s far from the beaten path, but for Santa Fe native and climber Ben Hanna, it’s been his proving ground for the past five years. Alongside fellow climber Claire Bukowski, the duo tackles some of the cave’s hardest routes, including New Mexico’s hardest sport climb Helsinki (5.14d). The Bat Cave comes courtesy of Logan Bonwell and Ben Shumlin and was shot over the course of one afternoon.
