The Pacific Northwest is the perfect place for mountain bikers: endless logging roads, dense brush, and a constant supply of moisture. In episode two of Subsistence, a series from Fat Tire and Flylow featuring mountain bikers Cody Wilkins and Myles Trainer, the crew explores the region. Wilkins, who is also a trail builder, says he likes to create routes with elements that “might not be offered in the area” to give riders a new challenge.

This episode was directed by Ben Dann and produced by Wilkins and Alex Chey, with photography by Charlie Stemens.
