Drones are sexy. Learning to fly, which tends to involve a lot of crash and burn, is not. That’s why Axis designed the Aerius, a tiny, cheap drone that’s built for flyers with a learner's permit.

Aerius, a quadcopter, is slightly larger than a quarter and only costs $35. It has a flight time of about five minutes per charge, and it'll power up in 15 minutes via USB. It comes with several auto-programmed flight modes, plus tiny LEDs in the body.

Each Aerius sells with a controller that doubles as a storage case and a spare set of blades.
