Little Cottonwood Canyon, just outside Salt Lake City, has been a beloved climbing spot for locals for more than 80 years. Unfortunately, two new proposals from the Utah Department of Transportation intended to combat winter-traffic congestion could threaten roadside bouldering and adversely impact the experience of climbing in the canyon. Gnarly Nutrition’s Home Crag, produced by Headlamp Studios and staring Olympic climber Nathaniel Coleman, Salt Lake Climber Alliance executive director Julia Geisler, and USA Climbing CEO Marc Norman, shares why Little Cottonwood Canyon is important to the state’s climbing community.
