In the early 1980s in Yosemite National Park, two rock climbers, Adam Grosowsky and Jeff Ellington, had a great idea: Why not use their climbing gear to set up inch-thick slacklines between two trees to challenge their balancing skills? Little did they know, they were creating a new sport. Slacklining has since grown into a popular activity that can be done just about anywhere—even over the U.S.-Mexico border

Lines Between Us, directed by Justin Wagers from the Trickline Collective, celebrates the sport and its community.
